Subhas Chandra Bose - Part 1

Subhas Chandra Bose is my favourite leader and admiration. You can see a series of topics on him from today.

Subhas Chandra Bose is known as Netaji. He is one of the prominent and highly respected leaders during the independence movement in India.

Netaji had conflict with Mahatma Gandhi over the ideology. They both differ in ideology to get independence from British raj. Because of this conflict he has resigned from the post president of Indian national congress. Netaji always advocated violence as a means to achieve independence.
After resigning from Indian national congress, he established All India Forward Bloc. He believed that with the establishment of forward bloc, India will full and complete independence at the earliest. British authorities sent him to prison for 11 times.

He saw Second World War as an opportunity to attack British. He thought this may be weakness for British authorities. With the outbreak of world war he flew to Germany, Japan and Soviet Union to gather alliance to attack Britishers in India. With the help of Japanese he formed Indian National Army (INA) against British. INA mostly comprised the war prisoners and plantation workers from Malaysia, Singapore and other Southeast Asia.

His views on politics and his alliance with Nazi’s to oppose British have raised many arguments among many historians and politicians. It is believed that he died in 1945 but still there is many speculations about his death.
