Recession, and
the Way Out

The current economic meltdown, one of the worst in the last 60 years or so, is bound to have many repercussions. It has already started telling on the job market and thousands of people are getting laid off or facing reduction in wages.
The next few years will be tough on new blokes entering the job market. Those who have spent money for seeking admissions for various courses, especially in the technology and finance sectors, will face the crunch when they start getting out of the protected environment of academic life. Students passing out this year and next are going to be severely hit.
One of the things that these students should think of now is to pursue higher studies. This is the best time to be in a university acquiring additional qualifications, knowledge and skills. Universities and institutes also should be preparing to provide such opportunities and gearing up for such a scenario.
This would be mutually advantageous for the student community as well as the academic institutions. Care should be taken to see that the element of exploitation is taken away when the financial angle of education is taken into account. When quantity (of students seeking academic pursuits) increases the centres of learning should take care that the quality does not suffer.
The near and long term future of the global economy will depend on their efforts.

Expensive Game

In India, you have protests on every issue, whether it is an attack on pubs, blocking trains or even naming a movie, Slumdog Millionaire.

The protests are in the form of road shows or comments from politicians or well-known personalities.

But why doesn’t anyone protest against the extravagant cricket tournaments?

The world is going through recession and efforts are being taken by the government and to provide more liquidity. But nobody is protesting against BCCI for IPL spending lavishly and attracting players for thousands of dollars.

Come on BCCI and television channels, stop glamourising IPL.

Save the Earth

There should be some effort on the part of the media to create awareness on the over-consumption of valuable resources like water and energy.
One needs to be very careful while using the natural resources that are fast depleting, and future generations will otherwise be most affected. The rate of water consumption in the UAE is very high. The meagre charges being levied on water consumption may be one reason for the lack of control in using water.
Some households are seen using the hose to clean the portico; it is heartbreaking to see the amount of pure water flowing onto the road from the houses. At night, decorative bulbs illuminate walls and gardens.
What a waste of energy! I urge the authorities to look into this. Global warming is hitting us badly, and experts say the impact is going to be serious.
We, as responsible citizens, would do well taking every step to see that we leave the earth as it is, for posterity.

Which Way Captalism?

Can capitalism be turned on and off like tap water?
These are extra-ordinary times and require similar thinking and actions.
Capitalism and private enterprise have blown their chances by playing fast and loose and are on retreat all over the world. Central Banks have to rethink their monetary intervention policies.
Tweaking will not work anymore because that is the rate at which banks get their money but not the rate at which customers get it for their loans. Banks do not pass it on fully, naturally, as they are middlemen and look to their profit and bonuses, especially in these lean times.
And also banks are now afraid of lending -- like the proverbial cat that drank the hot milk and shied away from milk for a long time. The way to go forward may be that Central Banks should get involved in commercial banking, either directly or indirectly, and direct lending to desired sectors of the economy at desired interest costs so the economy could be given the boost correctly.
Western governments can play this game and use their resources to buy up some good financial assets, which they can offload later for profit. Remember the bailout funds now being given to the banks are going nowhere now and even the Americans are being stumped as to what to do. Call it ‘market socialism’ or whatever.
One caution though: don’t hire the financial wizards from the American universities who screwed up the world economy in the first place. Some European countries like Sweden have done it successfully in the past.
So it is time to start thinking outside the box of standard capitalistic and free market style at least for the next few years.

Is blogging a best medicine

I have been blogging for last two years, but I have never given a thought about it...

last week I was reading a article from newsweek which says blgging is a therapy...

It says blog as an platform for a creative outlet...

And according to the mental health experts, blog is a medicine...

In a forthcoming study for cyber psychology and behavior says that a blogger is happier than a non blogger...

Blog is a step up of old diaries...

But bloggers should be careful while writing since we can reveal too much, which can bring guilt and shame...

So it is suggested that blog the heart's content, and give roam for the readers to imagine...

Now I knew why I feel relaxed and happy when I blog...

It removes all the stress and tension...

If you dont have a blog, why don't you try it...

The link of the real article is below

News Channels Hype

In cnn-ibn I could see a case very often...when ever I see that channel I could see the same news...
this is the limit.. I think media blow up has made this case " HIGH PROFILE "
But the question that's going through my mind is, Is this case deserve so much time and the hype that its getting ?
Its sucha a sad thing that media is making money and tearing apart sumones personal life..
why should I bother whether Aarushi's murder was a case of Dis-functional family or another of those Servant's Mischiefs...
And there is hardly anything left for 24 Hours news channel's to show.. They show this thing 12hours a day and the things that are more important to the entire nation are just clubbed in another section of the news...
can't they focus on issues related to national development rather than this crap and to add to this they have taken over the job of CBI themselves and are findin it pretty interesting doing investigations of their own and predicting interesting stories and encouraging public to imagine stories of their own and send to them.. Weren't these news channels supposed to be more Responsible ?

Oil price

This is painful fact that fuel price rise is unavoidable. There are few oil producing countries are challenging the world economy by constantly increasing the crude oil prices.

Government can't help in bringing the fuel price down. It is we, who can try using less fuel.

But government can also stop utilising wasting fuel by freely giving away fuels to their ministers. A lot of resources has been invested and wasted on Indian ministers who are not worth of so much luxurious life.

This oil price can be maintained by us. It is in our habds now to allow another price hike or not. We can maintain it by learning methods to conserve the fuel property and use less fuel quantity.

If we try and use more of public transport rather than using personal vehicles, we can reduce the consumption of fuel, there by maintaining this fuel price for coming years.

Indian government should do something to stop the wastage of fuel by the ministers. If goverenment cuts the fuel consumption then I think, we could save a lot of fuel. Govenrment minister uses 10-15 cars just to travel from one point to another.

Government should improve bus and train system so that most people can use it as a source of transport for their daily work.

Atlast this increase in fuel prices lead to more insatbility and economic losses to a country. This makes poor become even poorer.

This is a time to unite and work together to tackle the problem but instead opposition and left parties are making it as a political fortune since elections are due next year.

Even this will continue when they come to power.

This is India, politicians will never improve, few things will never change.

Inflation rises to 8.24%

Worries about the inflation continues and are haunting UPA government.

Increasing food and fuel price has further increased the inflation to 8.24%. This inflation percentage is till 24th may. With this growing inflation government of India has further increased the fuel and gas price.

The increase is by Rs 5 for petrol, Rs 3 for diesel and a cylinder of cooking gas is now increased by Rs 50.

Analysts say that this inflation may go past 9% which was seen some 13 years back.

Now the government is to keep a constant price ahead of state polls this year and central election i.e. national election next year. Already Congress has lost their power in few states recent one is Karnataka.

Government is trying hard to keep the inflation low by cutting import duties on edible oil. And have banned the export of rice. Government is even forcing cement and steel companies to cut the price.

Lets see how UPA government tackles this problem.

Tackling Teen Age Drinking in UK

Last week, British government has passed a order to stop the teen age drinking.

This law is more stricter to the parents rather than the drinking children.

According to this the parents who are unable to sstop their children from consuming alcohol could be jailed.

this plan is forced to check the underage drinking, which is growing concern in UK.

This orders are to be used against those parents of young children who are trapped drinking alcohol publicly.
The government is targeting parents who fail to stop their children from drinking.

Parents who fall short to take action under this new parenting orders, are in verge to face heavy fines and may end up behind the bars. they can even be sent for community service.

This type of drinking i.e. under 18 drinking in public or privately is wrong, since this increases crimes and sometimes puts young children in the dangerous situations. this type also induces anti social behavoiour. there by spoiling the growth of the individual and the country.

But government should have done something to restrict the sales of alcohol to under 18 drikers rather than imposing stricter parenting orders. If we see T.V. every other add is about the alcohol. So some steps should be taken to control this.

When we have problem in the base of the building, then it is very difficult to control at the top floor.

Harmonizing with nature

Being to some city for the first time…

Fascinated with the splendid magnificence of the place…

The loveliness renovated by mutual efforts of both man and nature…

A town in a mountainous area, adjoining a river…so stunning it is…

The sun thrashing its timidity in the wrap of clouds…the sunrays staring at the gilded plane of the river…the current of air passing messages among the two…

An isle able to be seen in the centre of the river, balancing the pace among a variety of harmony of the environment....a crowd of ducks and swans at one area…

People playing sports with water…examining it play with the airstreams wordlessly…taking pleasure in the harmony…

I still contain it all animated in my eyes…I’m unsmilingly valuing the moments when I was there…as an ingredient of the natural world…

Enjoying…

Price Hike... of Petrol,Diesel n Gas.. Justified ?

This is the talk and concern of the entire nation...

There has been a Drastic price rise in the Prices of Fuels like Petrol, Diesel and The most common Gas Cylinder... !!!

IS it justified..

Has it become inevitable to rise the prices ?

Also consider the fact that the Govt's failed to contain Inflation rate which's settin an All TIme/ High Every Week.. !!!

And Rise in Such Fuels Prices would certainly mean a Rise on Each and Every Commodity as They all Depend on Transport...

So should we expect the Inflation to Cross all D limits ? Or is it tat Gov is Helples concerning the Fact That the World Oil Prices and Other prices too are on an all time high and so...

Even we are hit by it.. !!!

Do consider the fact that the Govt has also provided us wid the one of the Heighest Growth rates in the World and They Give the explanation of Price hike as to Reduce the Burden on Coming Generations as India's cannot Fulfill the Entire Fuel Demand by itself.. !!!

Hibernation

I know that i am writing after long time. I have created this long gap of not updating my blog for a month, after three months of continuous post then suddenly vanished in April or just posted some technical stuff.

This period was too long and it was bit hard for me to update it since I was meeting coursework submission deadlines during April and after that second semester exams in may.

This may be considered as hibernation period. Now that I am done with all my works, I can post it regularly.

Lots of things happened during this gap and I could not update it. Sorry for being helpless.
You can find lots of updates in the upcoming months.

Thanks for all those who have visited my blog during my absence.

are we really safe in this country ?

yesterday watever happened in jaipur left behind a number of questions .The state govt blamed the central govt for not having a tough law to counter terror the central govt retaliated with some stuff but the question that should be taken up is still unanswered ....

(1) jaipur blast
(2) blast in hyderabad
(3) blasts in local trains
(4) terror attcak at isc banglore
(5) terror attacks in kashmir on day to day basis
(6) several terrorists were arrested in the capital .

what does this mean that terror phenomenon is gripping us from all sides from kashmir to bangluru they plan well and execute that where is our intelligence mechanism. Has it really failed . There are no tough laws even if a person is proven guilty by the highest court then even we are not able to hang him for his involvement in the parliamement case. are we really safe what are the measures being taken by the govt with restpect to our security .

the problem is we hate ourself when we try to.....

...... secure our self, just like narendra modi cm of gujarat. he had more hateness then any indian against terrorist ever had. sometime i dont understand what kind of "Love" we are talking about. there is one thing to note so many muslim leader have come out to go in aginst him. including movie stars but they have never gone in against of doud, molana masood azhar and so many of them our youth and may be our media dont even know their name or dont want to talk about them. cause if talking about narendra modi can get more TRP then why they want to talk about Molana Masood Azhar! even i want to ask you guys! any one dose know molana masood azhar? and wht did he do?

Is ambani's new house on legal property

The man who almost stalled Mukesh Ambani’s $2-billion dream home by alleging that it stands on wakf land has been transferred by the Maharashtra government.

Hearing a petition seeking restoration of the plot to the Maharashtra State Board of Wakf, the Supreme Court had refused on Thursday to intervene in the matter pending before Bombay High Court.

The next morning, the board’s chief executive officer, A.R. Shaikh, was transferred. The 27-storey building — tagged the world’s most expensive home — is coming up on a plot that was originally wakf property but it was sold to Ambani.

The wakf board headed by Shaikh had alleged last year that the sale of the land in 2002 was illegal. An inquiry was instituted against it’s then chairman, M.A. Aziz, who was accused of selling the property at Rs 21 crore, much below the market rate of Rs 400 crore, without the board’s permission.

Five years later, in October 2007, the high court stayed a Maharashtra government’s decision to cancel sale of the land. The government had held that the 4,500-square-metre plot was wakf property and could not be sold.Only seven storeys of Ambani’s house had been completed then.

Today, the building, named Antilla, is 17 storeys high and construction of the remaining 10 is on at full swing. “The high court order had not given any instruction for a stay on Antilla’s ongoing construction,” a wakf board trustee said.

Shaikh was scheduled to file an application in the high court seeking a stay on the construction this week. “I am a government officer. I will comply with the government order.

If the government does not want me, I will not stay here,” Shaikh told The Telegraph today. He had joined the wakf board on deputation from the rural development department.

A deputation is usually for three years, but in Shaikh’s case, it has lasted one and a half.

Olympic torch : London protest

_44548341_protester_ap226b

On Sunday the 06 April 2008, Olympic torch was invited with widespread protest and scuffle between police and demonstrators. The seen was more like an protest against the recent issues of china with Tibet.

I was watching in the television that few demonstrators tried to snatch the Olympic torch from the runners and even one of the demonstrator tried to put off the flame with fire extinguisher.

I learned through news that atleast  three dozen of protestors were arrested for disrupting the torch relay.

Security persons have to cut short the torch relay in London, after the heavy protest. It has to go thorough 31 miles. But most part of the relay was covered by carrying the torch in bus.

I don't agree in mixing sports with the politics. Olympic game is the biggest sporting event and it is not only for China but it is for the entire world. Mixing the politics into torch relay in London and Paris won't make any changes in the China nor Tibet is going to get independence.

I am not going to comment about the china and Tibet stand, I will rather prefer to stay away from this talk. I think this is utter waste of energy and time to try and convince those radical people.

But China would have never thought of getting into the trouble so much. It would have thought of making huge money by conducting the game. China  is now trapped in its own trap.

We have to appreciate Tibet for using the conditions in their favour. Through this they have attracted the entire world to look into them and have attracted the human rights for their support.

I am sure such demonstration won't even a minute difference to china. I believe if we want to support Tibet really then we can do that by simple way i.e. just by boycotting cheap electronic and household goods imported from china. This way will really make a difference to china rather than going on streets and protesting.

Finally, awarding Olympic games host to the China was the biggest mistake.

"WE NEED PEACEFUL OLYMPICS"

Hogganikal: Tamilnadu Govt. Stand

st_tamilnadu

After much of the protest in various places and by many organisations, finally Tamilnadu government puts a hold on the Hogganikal project till the end of the Karnataka state assembly election.

Chief minister of Tamilnadu but made the point clear that if the solution is awful after the election, then Tamil's won't sit silently.

By this statement he is clearly referring that the tensions may prevail after the Karnataka state assembly elections.

This decision by Tamilnadu government has opened a space for speculation against government. Now the government is under criticism by various opposition parties and by public.

In my view, this is decision is taken to support congress in Karnataka as DMK is in its allies in the centre. So DMK don't want to upset the government in the centre

Is copyright right to copy in India?

History repeats itself at least for Indian cinema

recently When accused that his movie is straight copy from hollywood movie The dream team, director of Krazzy 4 Jaideep Sen said that the similarity in the films is “sheer coincidence.”

This is not the first time even in Past there has been such incidents

1) Sony Pictures Entertainment threatened to sue producers K Sera Sera for $30 million for copying the Will Smith-starrer Hitch into Partner.

2)in 2003,Barbara Taylor Bradford filed a suit against the channel claiming that it's serial Karishma was a copy of her novel A Woman of Substance.

I am also told Munnabhai mbbs is an inspired movie along with likes of

Kaante,Baazigar,zeher etc.(list is too long)

Are copyright laws doing enough to protect the intellectual property in India?

Live Funeral

This is the not a funny topic. It is real funeral that has gone live on Internet.

Few days back, I was going through some news then I was surprised to notice that in UK

"funeral is live".

You have to pay for every views. This service allows mourners from different parts of the world, who cannot attend funeral in person for their last respect.

I don't remember the name of the company which has launched this service.

You just have to pay around 75 pounds for the Webcast of the funeral then the service provider will give mourners a password to access.

The coverage is done with the small camera mounted in chapel.

I was amazed now, how human has advanced with his technologies.

But this advancements in technologies, has made human lazy and selfish.

Of course I accept that  families are scattered across the world and it is not always possible for every one to be on time for funeral.

But the  point is will this service give us the same feeling of being present ourselves in funeral.

I think with this live Webcast we won't be getting any real feeling rather it is only

"Virtual Feeling"
