Expensive Game

In India, you have protests on every issue, whether it is an attack on pubs, blocking trains or even naming a movie, Slumdog Millionaire.

The protests are in the form of road shows or comments from politicians or well-known personalities.

But why doesn’t anyone protest against the extravagant cricket tournaments?

The world is going through recession and efforts are being taken by the government and to provide more liquidity. But nobody is protesting against BCCI for IPL spending lavishly and attracting players for thousands of dollars.

Come on BCCI and television channels, stop glamourising IPL.

Cricket’s Movers and Shakers

Congratulations to the West Indies cricket team for winning the first Test match against England in the on-going home Test series in the Caribbeans. The English team fell like a pack of cards. Historically speaking, this proved to be England’s third lowest score in Test cricket.
The excellent win of the West Indies can be attributed to the brave show put up by the team spearheaded by its skipper, Chris Gayle.
And, of course, who can forget the pace and swing of Jerome Taylor?
History will provide testimony to the fact that the day the star-studded English team was bundled out, some of its superstars were ‘auctioned off’ to the lucrative IPL league for millions of dollars.
The fact is that IPL has proved to be a distraction not only to the English players but other cricketers, as well. They have been lured by the glamour of wealth, gold and money.
The cricket fraternity should not forget that nobody, not even IPL, is bigger than the noble game of cricket and playing cricket should never be dictated by a few powerful movers and shakers.

The other side of recession

Due to global financial crisis daily thousands of people are losing their jobs worldwide.
Like doctors, engineers, teachers etc., every businessman is supposed to have a social commitment and welfare of his employees.
When some of the business tycoons are terminating their employees, due to low demand and operational crisis, at the same time they are spending millions for players’ auction in IPL Cricket in India.
The government should take immediate action against such businessmen, and people should refrain from seeing such matches where money not sports dominates.

Shoaib Out of Cricket

SHOAIB_AKHTAR

All cricket fans got a shocking news from PCB on

"April Fool's Day"

News is not to make every one fool. Instead it is real.

Maverick, world's pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar was banned from playing cricket for five years.

Ban was imposed by Pakistan Cricket Board on the ground of

misconduct and;

repeated violation of players code of conduct....

This may end his international careers. Through out his career, he was always plagued with controversies.

This ban is for criticising PCB publicly.

He is banned from all forms of cricket.

But he is allowed to play

"Indian Premium League".

This has ended his career of  eleven years of world's fastest bowler.

He will always be missed by  all cricket lovers ...

~~Cheers~~

Cricket Ogle

A fan indicates where his support lies, India v Australia ODI series, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, October 4, 2007

I am a self-confessed neurotic fan of this sport:):)

I have been following this sport from the time of my childhood, if I am correct then from the past 15 years, but I have never stumble upon such a year in its record.

Yes, this year India was knocked out in the World Cup but later this year in which India won the first ever Twenty-twenty world cup. I am talking about the year 2007 so don’t confuse yourself.

We as supporters of this sport, have had a roller-coaster trip of passion, we mock them subsequent to the shocking exit from the world cup and illustrated honour and admiration when they won the T20 cup.

Let’s have a look up into 2007 team changes before world cup...

2007 started with Saurav Ganguly publicize his come back to the team with outstanding batting and good score against South Africa which reserved his hold in the World cup squad.

The team to West Indies had a lots of debut player in foreign land outside Asia few names are

v M.S Dhoni,

v Robin Uthappa,

v Shreeshant,

v Munaf Patel,

v Dinesh Kartik

The mature sheep’s in the company of Captain Rahul Dravid leading from the front.

But who possibly will have dreamed that India will be beaten to Bangladesh and bundle its bag in the first leg of the play-offs.

Well they faced terrible cost when they arrive at home since we all know how acutely we capture Cricket. Once the blame game going ahead it ruined with Greg Chappell’s resignation and shortly the heroes of yesteryear were made to seem like nil.

At last the Aussies bagged the top nobility making it three times in a row.

The World cup tragedy followed India’s tour to Bangladesh in which the Indian split them separately and take vengeance of the defeat of the world cup.

India subsequently played against England and South Africa, in which they showed some standard and managed to win test series aboard following a gap of more than 5 years.

September set the stage for the foremost ever twenty-twenty cricket world cup, which was a shorter edition of the sport and guaranteed a great cricketing experience. Not a single soul possibly will even envision in their deadliest dream that India could carry the credit.

The 20-20 cup was a greeting shock for the whole nation, initially no one expected India to set off so distant in the competition without senior players in the dressing room and pound Australia and South Africa.

But the young team brought it on and played like champions hammering Pakistan in a finishing game with remembrance.

This year focused an extraordinary revival of Cricketing bent in India’s arsenal. And the prospect gives the impression of being dazzling.

~~Cheers~~

What about Bhajji?should he be controlled?

Here are few statements made by Bhajji in past few dayz

1)One sikh is enough for this world

2)I am stronger than Aussie

Does he know what he is talking about

Has he seen his stats in tour down under this season it looks pathetic

He has no role in India's win over Aussie what makes him say that I wonderhow can he even think of uttering such a statement that one sikh is enough for the whole world it might have been used by Sikh guru but it was in different context....in secular country like ours should we pardon mr. Singh for making such statement....

Going by his statement there should only be only sikhs in team or only Harbhajan singh in team.

And why did he have to call Symonds teri Maki......it is one of the most offensive words in India had he uttered such a word to me i would have given him one tight slap...

no matter who or what provoked him is justified in swearing at his mother...is it what Indian value is?

to the extent that it has strained the Indo Australian relationshipShould this chap be controlled?or is he right all the way?

In my opinion he should be...

New Beginning

MARCH 2008 will be will focus India's entry into new era of world sports....

its not hidden with anyone about what i am talking...

you all got my point... its India's entry into formula racing...

India has already produced many drivers for formula one but this is its from different prespective...

ya..

this time India is going to participate

"FORCE INDIA"

The 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship heralds the start of a new era of Indian motorsport: the first full season for the Force India Formula One Team and a representation of the new young fast paced global Indians and F1 fans from across the world.

The person who made India proud was none other, our very own "Dr. Vijay Mallya", he is well know personality in india so i need not to tell anything about him, every one knew him and his achievements.

uhmm.. i was cracking the history of force india then found some interesting facts about history of force india....

i would like to share those findings....

Although created in 2007, the team's roots can be traced back to 1991, when it was founded as Jordon Grand Prix. The Silverstone based squad and facilities were bought by the Midland group in 2005 and re-named Midland F1 in 2006, before being sold to Spykercars towards the end of the 2006 season. However, the running costs of a small Formula One team once again caused the sale of the team, this time to Indian billionaire Dr.Vijay Mallya [source: wikipedia and force india official website]

but the imteresting facts what i have found after reading so many articles about force india is team is not making much of the changes in the chassis but

team will be using ferrari customer engine for 2008 seesion.

force india was successful in attracting many of the sponsers from india and from other countries... primary sponser is very own brand kingfisher......

few named sponsers are icici, samsung, medion and etihad airways.....

most important is the drivers.....

Race drivers

  • Adrian sutil

  • Giancarlo Fisichella

Test drivers

  • Vitantonio Liuzzi

  • Roldan Rodriguez

  • Giedo van der Garde

so we can see force india in its first grand prix starting next month in australian grand prix....

Dr.Vijay Mallya has promised that force india will do better performance in his official show but has said not expect win for the movement

Dr.Vijay Mallya's vision is to win in the Indian grand prix which is scheduled for the year 2010.

by then force india will improve its engine and performance....

All the best.... lets all support force india.....

at last i would like to conclude by saying
"FORCE INDIA : PROUD INDIA"
