Even beofre i write anything about the SC order for 27% reservation to OBCs in universities, i can't help but think that i don't care anymore. The reservation issue has been irritating and frustrating me for so long that now when i hear something about it, all i say is ... "to hell with it!!".
Is there a point talking about this anymore? nobody is listening, nobody is bothered. When the Supreme Court is dumb enough not to realize the gravity of this judgement, how can one expect politicians to!!
All said and done, it is a democracy. Ah, our beloved democracy. The only fucking problem is that indian majority is invariably wrong!! What about these SCs backing Mayawati and not realizing that they haven't gained shit during her reign apart from a dozen Ambedkar statues on the street crossings and parks. Even Mulayam singh appears an angel in comparison and we all know what a worthless soul he is.
When will we get any wiser? its not politicians playing the vote bank politics, its us who let them take us for a ride. When everyone and their aunts know that our leaders are backing reservation for votes and not for upliftment of the backwards, then why not vote them out? Oh, i forgot, we will vote them out. We always do. And then what? The alternative any better? I see myself writing the same shit about the next govt and then the next one and so on so forth.....
It doesn't end, ever. Its the supreme constant. The source of all things evil. Yet,central to everything. May be "govt" is the real god. Or may be the tangible form of god. But i'm glad atleast we are practising Polytheism. Makes us feel different and gives us a choice to decide whom we should let fuck us over.
